ICARUS/RISE is a one-hour multimedia theatrical piece connecting the myth of Icarus with the migration of Iranians in search for freedom, telling the 30-year journey of Iranian immigrants through their poetry. Based on poetry featured in BELONGING: New Poetry by Iranians Around the World (North Atlantic Books, 2008).
